All About Me

Hi! My name is Mary.  I want to become a good blogger. I’ve been struggling with this blog for years. Doing and posting a variety of things. I have had no experience at blogging, although lately I did indulge in a purchase of “Blogging for Dummies”! I made it through the first chapter and it pretty much told me to do the things I have already done. So, kudos for me!

This is me.

I don’t have anything to sell, or expertise to share. I live a pretty ‘alone’ kind of life and it would feel good to share things as I would, maybe over a cup of coffee in most people’s mornings.

I don’t think people want to hear what I think, say or feel about anything, but for that very reason I want to share even more. People reading or ‘scanning’ through a stranger’s blog are not in a space of ‘having to listen or be attentive, as family feels.  It actually is very freeing to write my thoughts, knowledge of emotions about straight forward topics or something that may sound like psycho-babble. It’s whatever I choose. Whether it makes sense or not.

I think the blog has been good for me, in most cases. I’ve done a lot with lyrics to songs and even videos when they were able to be posted. It made it all the more interesting. I just wish I would do it so much more often.

You are invited to read, comment and share if you would like, but know, for my time on the keyboard, I expect nothing in return.

I moved from my home state of California about eleven years ago. California has always been my home from the age of eight months old until I became 52. I’m 64 now. Usually feeling way too old for what I think I should feel like. Admittedly, the years are going so much for quickly than I would like to admit, and largely with no memories to speak of.  Kind of pitiful, I see that!

I live in Washington state now. My youngest daughter of three, her husband and two children have found a long time home here while he has spent time in the Navy and retired.

The children were seven and fur upon my move here, last night the seven year old and I were speaking of her up-coming birthday in less than a month, the big two-zero!  Yeah, those years went fast and they are gone. Now two adults sharing what’s going on or not going on in our lives. My young grandson, 16 and as tall as his dad, with hair seemingly down to his derriere, was here for the last two day assisting my husband in putting together a shed for the backyard, mostly to protect all my seeds and goodies from the wild life I’m so blessed to care for.

I have my husband, a fairy tale in itself. We’ll celebrate our anniversary in December 2024! This is a surprise to all involved for we married in 1988 and divorced in, yeah, who would have known we would be together and as close as we are, it unusual but not unheard of. I invite you to share with me in this new and re-started adventure of word soup for me. Warning, I do babble a lot! I personally like that part! I hope you enjoy my writing and no matter what your opinion, share with me if you would like, I would love to hear from you!
